Marco Cantone

Born and raised in Italy, Marco’s journey as an artist began long before he ever picked up a tattoo machine. A graduate of the Italian Academy of Life Drawing and a Master of Art, his foundation is rooted in classical technique and the study of form, light, and movement.

In 2012, he discovered tattooing and was captivated by the idea of telling stories through permanent designs on skin. His journey took him from London to Germany, Switzerland, and Scotland, before his biggest dream came true when he was accepted into the New York Tattoo Convention and connected with the renowned First Class Tattoo studio.

Marco Cantone has always drawn and painted, driven by a deep passion for academic and life drawing. This led him to specialize in black and white, developing a personal style based on chiaroscuro. When he decided to become a tattoo artist, he brought this technique to the skin, creating impressionist art where contrasts and light make each image come alive and express something truly authentic.

Marco has served as a judge at several Italian tattoo conventions, his drawings have been featured in art books, and some of his paintings have been selected for major art exhibitions in Milan. For him, tattooing and drawing travel together in a universe of contrasts, light, and infinite shadows.
